Atau makna yang dimaksud ialah bahwa Allah Taala itu adalah Zat yang harus mereka puji. Masing-masing mereka disebut alam. Oleh karenanya ada alam manusia, alam jin dan lain sebagainya. Lafal 'al-`aalamiin' merupakan bentuk jamak dari lafal '`aalam', yaitu dengan memakai huruf ya dan huruf nun untuk menekankan makhluk berakal/berilmu atas yang lainnya. Kata 'aalam berasal dari kata `alaamah tanda mengingat ia adalah tanda bagi adanya yang menciptakannya. {الرَّحْمَن الرَّحِيم} أَيْ ذِي الرَّحْمَة وَهِيَ إرَادَة الخير لأهله Yang Maha Pemurah lagi Maha Penyayang yaitu yang mempunyai rahmat. Rahmat ialah menghendaki kebaikan bagi orang yang menerimanya. {مَالِك يَوْم الدِّين} أَيْ الْجَزَاء وَهُوَ يَوْم الْقِيَامَة وَخُصّ بِالذِّكْرِ لِأَنَّهُ لَا مُلْك ظَاهِرًا فِيهِ لِأَحَدٍ إلَّا لِلَّهِ تَعَالَى بِدَلِيلِ لِمَنْ الْمُلْك الْيَوْم لِلَّهِ وَمَنْ قَرَأَ مَالِك فَمَعْنَاهُ مَالِك الْأَمْر كُلّه فِي يَوْم الْقِيَامَة أَوْ هُوَ مَوْصُوف بِذَلِك دَائِمًا كَغَافِرِ الذَّنْب فَصَحَّ وُقُوعه صِفَة لِمَعْرِفَةِ Yang menguasai hari pembalasan di hari kiamat kelak. Lafal 'yaumuddiin' disebutkan secara khusus, karena di hari itu tiada seorang pun yang mempunyai kekuasaan, kecuali hanya Allah Taala semata, sesuai dengan firman Allah Taala yang menyatakan, "Kepunyaan siapakah kerajaan pada hari ini hari kiamat? Kepunyaan Allah Yang Maha Esa lagi Maha Mengalahkan." Al-Mukmin 16 Bagi orang yang membacanya 'maaliki' maknanya menjadi "Dia Yang memiliki semua perkara di hari kiamat". Kemudian diperjelas lagi maknanya oleh ayat berikut Bukan jalan mereka yang dimurkai Yang dimaksud adalah orang-orang Yahudi. Dan bukan pula dan selain mereka yang sesat. Yang dimaksud adalah orang-orang Kristen. Faedah adanya penjelasan tersebut tadi mempunyai pengertian bahwa orang-orang yang mendapat hidayah itu bukanlah orang-orang Yahudi dan bukan pula orang-orang Kristen. Hanya Allahlah Yang Maha Mengetahui dan hanya kepada-Nyalah dikembalikan segala sesuatu. You can recite El fatiha and other sura for yourself but this is not obligatory. If you are performing salah by yourself, then just repeat the whole sura. I'm not learned. As far as my to my knowledge, surah faatiga is the only surah you have to recite otherwise your salaah null and void. You are allowed to make 3 mistakes more than that your salaah is null and void. In congregation You recite after the Imam. He will be silent before he starts with the short surah and that is for you to recite surah faatiga. If you did not get to complete surah faatigah it's OK because you made niyyah Imaaman liellaahie ta a'lah. You should repeat from where you made mistake. I am still not sure that, one has to give prostration of forgetfulness or not for mistake in one verse/ anywhere in Al Fatiha, but it is the obligatory part of salah, that's why I personally give prostration of forgetfulness as a repentance. Bismillahir rahmaanir raheemIn the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Quran begins with the proper, unique, and personal name of God – Allah. I begin with the name of Allah’ means a Muslim begins his recitation seeking the help of Allah. Allah is the God of mankind who alone deserves one else can take the name Allah.’ Allah is the Most Gracious ar-Rahman Lord whose mercy extends to all creation. He is the Lord of the worlds, meaning He made everything that exists, maintaining it at every is the Lord who nourishes the believers with faith and good الرَّحِيمِ3. Ar rahmaanir raheemThe Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,Most Gracious’ Al-Rahman and Merciful’ ar-Raheem are two of the many names of يَوْمِ الدِّينِ4. Maliki yawmid deenSovereign of the Day of alone is the Master of the Day of Judgment, the Day when human beings will be rewarded for their deeds. Reciting this verse in every rak’ah of payer constantly reminds a Muslim of the coming Judgment, and encourages him to do good and stay away from نَعْبُدُ وإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ5. Iyyaka naabudu wa-iyyaka nasta-eenIt is You Alone we worship and You Alone we ask for only submit to You in worship and seek only Your help in everything we do. Everything is in Your hands. The Straight Path’ is Islam, the clear road leading to divine pleasure and Heaven shown by Muhammad, God’s last and final slave of Allah cannot be happy and prosperous except by following الَّذِينَ أَنعَمتَ عَلَيهِمْ غَيرِ المَغضُوبِ عَلَيهِمْ وَلاَ الضَّالِّينَ7. Siratal latheena an Amta Alayhim ghayril maghdoobi alayhim walad daalleenThe path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked Your anger or of those who are path followed by those who were blessed – the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous. They are the not let us follow the path of two. First, those who earned divine anger because they knew the truth but did not act on it, and that is the example of the Jews and whoever is like them. Second, do not let us follow the path of those who lost their way and were not guided, and that is the example of the Christians and their like. This is a prayer from a Muslim to purify his heart of stubbornness, ignorance, and misguidance. The verse also shows Islam is God’s greatest who know the way and walk on it are guided and, after the prophets they were, without doubt, the companions of Prophet Muhammad. It is recommended to say Ameen’ after reciting Surah al-Fatiha in the prayer.
